Compress image to 100KB

Shrink JPG, PNG, or WebP to under 100KB for email avatars and form uploads. Set any target from 10–5000 KB (default 100). Everything runs in your browser — your files never leave this device.

Target size:

Range 10–5000 KB · default 100 KB

Drop images here or choose files

JPG · PNG · WebP · multi-file OK · processed locally to ≤ 100.0 KB

Tip: email & many forms cap avatars at 100KB — that's the default target.

For avatars, ~500×500 or ~800×800 px usually works well. If you are still over the limit after compress, shrink the long edge first (or pick a lower target), then re-run.

Privacy: images are processed with HTML canvas in your browser. We do not upload them to a server for compression. Output is JPEG.

    How it works

    1. Step 1

      Upload

Drop JPG, PNG, or WebP — one file or a batch.

    2. Step 2

      Pick a target

Default 100KB for email avatars; chips 50/100/200 or any 10–5000 KB.

    3. Step 3

      Download

Get a JPEG under your limit, or a ZIP for multiple files.

Built for email avatars — not exam photos

This site targets a simple rule: get the file under a KB limit (default 100KB) while keeping aspect ratio. It is not a TNPSC / exam photo tool — those need fixed pixel sizes and a min–max KB band. Use this when a form or email client says “avatar must be under 100KB.”

    FAQ

    Do you upload my images?
No. Compression uses HTML canvas in your browser. Files stay on your device — we do not upload them to a server for compression.
    Why JPEG output?
JPEG quality control is the most reliable way to hit a KB target for photos and avatars. PNG/WebP inputs are converted on export.
What size should an email avatar be?
Many forms accept ~500×500 or ~800×800 px. Start around those sizes, then compress to ≤100KB (or your form’s limit). Huge phone photos often need a smaller long edge before they will fit.
What if it is still over the target KB?
We lower JPEG quality first, then gently shrink dimensions while preserving aspect ratio. If it is still over, shrink the long edge (e.g. toward 500–800px for avatars), pick a slightly lower target, and re-run. Very small images may already be under the limit at quality 100%.
